New Caster Style!

Our product and development center will now offer:  New Caster Style For Welded-Stem Chair Bases, Steelcase or Other Office Chairs that have caster stems welded to the chair base (i.e. Steelcase Sensor, Rally and Criterion, etc.). Problem Solver now offers a replacement caster style without a stem that fits chairs with welded stem dimensions of 3/8" diameter by 1-5/16" (or shorter) length.  Wheel diameter is 2-1/8", the neck size is 1-5/16" diameter.  The caster comes with either hard wheels for use on carpeting, or soft wheels for use on chair mats and hard floor surfaces such as wood, linoleum and tile.  The latter is most important when new chairs or chair mats are sold.  Hard wheel casters, a standard on most new chairs, roll to fast and can cause chairs to roll away or tip over on chair mats and hard floors.  To protect yourself from costly liability and your customer from debilitating injuries, suggest soft wheel casters for use on chair mats and hard floor surfaces.
